

Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor at New Hope will be in charge of recruiting, leading and caring for the many volunteers amongst the New Hope Church Niagara properties. They will look after all aspects of property maintenance from cleaning, stocking, repairing and hiring contractors. They will ensure that all property is welcoming, safe and inviting.
Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and oversees church maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.
- Contacts and schedules contractors as required.
- Provides basic maintenance services such as touch-up painting, lighting replacement, minor repairs, etc.
- Oversees contracts for all maintenance on church property.
- Ensures that prior to scheduled events rooms are clean and properly set up; and after such events ensures the rooms are clean and in order.
- Oversees the construction and installation of interior and exterior church improvements.
- Works with church staff to provide for any special needs associated with special events such as weddings, receptions, etc.
- Provides support to ministry staff as needed (e.g. set up & take down).
- Ensures that the facility is closed and secured after events/services.
- Oversees the management and inventory of all church property by ensuring the proper storage and record-keeping.
- Assists staff with budget planning and execution of facilities-related improvements, construction, maintenance, and repair expenses.
- Oversees the property and maintenance during new construction projects to ensure ministry can continue unhindered.

Education, Experience and Skills
- As a Support Staff member this position will seek to equip the ministries happening at all properties.
- They will attend staff, operations and building team meetings while ensure a cohesive usage of the New Hope Church Niagara facilities.
- Equip volunteers with the tools and vision needed to serve on the operations team.
- Basic knowledge of building operation and maintenance requirements.
- Strong organization and technology skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with volunteers and external contacts with tact, courtesy, sensitivity, and good will.
- Initiating leader (self-starter) who can effectively delegate and manage responsibilities.
- Physically able to perform construction, cleaning and other duties.
- Knowledge of trades, tools and other equipment.
- Prior experience in leading teams is an asset.

Pastor of New Hope Kids
The Pastor of New Hope Kids will lead all the New Hope Kids Sunday morning ministries including Nursery, Kids Church and Registration at all present and future locations. They will direct the mission, vision and curriculum of NHKids and oversee and care for the volunteer leaders of these ministries providing coaching and empowering them to grow and strengthen their teams.
Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the New Hope Kids (NHKids) Sunday morning ministries, which includes Nursery, Kids Church and Registration, at all locations. Set the vision for where the teams need to be in the future and teach and coach the volunteer leaders towards those goals.
- Oversee and ensure the execution, facilitation and organization by volunteer ministry leaders of all New Hope Kids Sunday programs.
- Lead the implementation and development of the NHK curriculum, along with the Family Pastor.
- Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to recruit, onboard and retain volunteers to ensure the ministries are able to function in a sustainable and healthy way, positioned for growth.
- Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders as they develop, build, and equip their teams. Provide specific in situ coaching and training for those in teaching roles.
- Coordinate with volunteer ministry leaders to care for the physical ministry spaces and supplies
- Provide discipleship and pastoral care for volunteer leaders.
- Every Staff member at New Hope Church creates and submits a yearly soul care plan that ensures overall spiritual health. This includes: 1 week of professional development, 1 week of prayer, and vacation weeks. We also provide paid counselling, coaching, and study resources.
Team Responsibilities
Education, Experience and Skills
- Support and work in cooperation with other ministries to maximize opportunities across ministry areas. Communicate and collaborate with all areas of ministry for maximum efficiency and cohesion (ex. Worship department oversees Kids’ Worship).
- Promote, support, and contribute to the overall church ministry by assisting with other churchwide projects such as Day Camp, SummerFest, NatFest, Sunday with Santa, Giving Initiatives, Christmas, Egg Hunt, and Easter.
- Attend team leader meetings, ministry leader meetings and other staff called meetings.
- 2+ years of experience in Family Ministry required, experience in teaching and school settings also and asset.
- Experience with recruiting training and developing leaders.
- Post-Secondary Education: Bible College or Seminary preferred, BEd and/or OCT also an asset.

- Hours and Expectations - Full time, 40 hours in addition to volunteers hours as per the Staff Handbook.

Building Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor
New Hope Church Niagara is a quickly growing, vibrant church. We currently have 6 Services on a Sunday between two locations, weekly Youth and Young Adult programs running during the week. God has called us to expand into other regions of Niagara, and as such we are looking to hire additional staff to run and empower quick-growing ministries.
The maintenance intern will work under our Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to accomplish an ongoing list of maintenance tasks at our New Hope Church property. the successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to help maintain and improve our property to aid us in creating a safe and welcoming space for people to know, love and serve Jesus.

Typical Work Week
- Complete the daily tasks and projects assigned to them by their direct supervisor
- Work alongside and give direction to volunteers while working on various tasks and projects
- Assist with cleaning of the property and building as needed
- Coordinate with volunteer teams and ensure they are properly resourced for tasks and projects
- Support staff with any property and build needs as requested
- Sundays - Close up both church locations following close up procedures for each site
Typical Work Week
- Most weeks the team will work Monday-Thursday, 9:00-4:00. Some flexibility these days and times is possible. Team members will be responsible for logging the hours they work
- Some weeks the team may need to work Saturday or Sunday and may take Friday off in lieu
- Sundays are required workdays and some other events as well

Multimedia Tech Intern

The Summer Tech Intern will support New Hope’s Tech Director and Worship Pastor in the training and recruiting of volunteer Tech Team for all services, Sunday and mid-week.
Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support New Hope’s Tech Lead (David Braun) and Worship Pastor (Tovi Delport) with scheduling, training and recruiting volunteers on the tech team for all our services (Including Kids Worship, Jr Youth, Youth and Young Adults)
- Design Graphics and create multimedia for Sunday Services
- Fill roles on the Tech team where volunteers aren’t available eg. Sound, Lyrics, Lights, Camera, Video Directing and Switching
- Run the Tech booth for special events like, Weddings and Funerals
- Work with Technical Director and Lighting team to define how lights will be used in worship and then build presets based on the definitions and apply them to song templates.
- Build teams for Jr. Youth, Youth & Young Adults by recruiting and training new and existing team members over the summer to then run evening activities
- Build teams for Kids Worship Tech by recruiting and training new and existing team members
- Assist with install and commissioning of new equipment
